During your trip in Valpolicella you cannot miss an excursion to the famous Parco delle Cascate, with its paths among thunderous jumps of water that can entertain both children and adults.

But even the medieval village of Molina, with its fascinating simplicity, will surprise you and a walk through the streets paved in Lessinia stone is certainly worthwhile.

Here, on the borders between Valpolicella and Lessinia, time seems to have stopped in the last century: everything is silent, you can only hear the sounds of nature, apparently so far from the lively tourist resorts of the Verona area.

The small center of medieval origin sees the use of slabs of local stone in every corner: streets, small courtyards, field fences, supports for vines, entrance arches, stairways and balconies, porches, roofs ... everything is built in stone, with simple but ingenious and functional devices.

Of the Lessinia stone there are also the channels that served to bring water from the highest source to the mills in the town (hence the name "Molina"), used in the past not only to grind wheat and corn, but also to obtain oil from walnuts, for the fulling of wool cloths, to operate a sawmill and even as a small power plant to light up the village!
