The Commerce District was created thanks to a call for tenders promoted by the Lombardy Region and aims to keep neighbourhood commerce alive in order to safeguard the very life of urban centres.
It is therefore configured as a tool that encourages the meeting between the economic, social and municipal administration worlds to enhance what the area can and does offer.

The Trade District, according to the definition of the Lombardy Region, is 'a well delimited area with homogeneous characteristics for which private and public subjects propose integrated management interventions in the common interest of economic, social, cultural development and environmental enhancement of the urban and territorial context of reference'.

The district is therefore an instrument that has the task of creating synergies between the economic and social world and the natural and traditional world of the territory.

OBJECTIVES
The primary objective of the District is to revitalise its municipal areas through a shared main instrument: neighbourhood commerce.
The District is therefore committed to supporting organisational and process initiatives between commercial operators, with the aim of promoting projects capable of structurally and durably affecting the competitive characteristics of the local commercial offer, with reference to the redevelopment of the urban fabric.

Specific objectives:
-Renew the District's commercial activities
-Enhancement of street furniture to increase the District's attractiveness
-Creating a cohesive public/private partnership
-Creating a homogeneous communication and marketing plan
- Create new areas that also take on the function of trade-related social gathering spaces
- Help the territory to think strategically through a specific concertation methodology
