Why not take a walk in the pure and crisp air of Lessinia among dense woods, green pastures and mysterious caves, then stopping in a hut for a typical lunch?

The itinerary proposed in western Lessinia passes from the upper districts of Sant'Anna d'Alfaedo to the top of the Corno d'Aquilio.

Leave your car in a parking lot in the Tommasi district (1150 m) and continue on foot through Coste and then on a dirt road until you reach the Passo di Rocca Pia (1215 m), after passing through a wood with some stretches in where you can enjoy suggestive views towards Lake Garda.

Even today, the border between Veneto and Trentino Alto-Adige, the Rocca Pia Pass in the past was a place of smuggling and illegal trafficking and during the Great War an observation point entrenched.

Then continue along the path which at a certain point begins to climb rapidly in hairpin bends up to the pastures of Malga Fanta (1496 m).

From here it is possible to reach the Spluga della Preta, a karst abyss of almost 1000 m depth, still today subject to expedition by speleologists and scholars.

Continue until you reach the summit of the Corno d'Aquilio (1547 m), where an iron cross welcomes hikers and where on clear days the panorama is unbeatable.

Now go back down the grassy valley; at some point on your left you will see the Grotta del Ciabattino, inside which you can admire amazing ice stalactites until late spring.

Go down the winding path again until you reach the paved road of the Liana and then the Tommasi district, the starting point of the itinerary.
