Why not take advantage of one of the many hot and sunny days of late spring or midsummer to go on a different excursion than usual?

Treat yourself to a few hours of relaxation and light-heartedness, away from the busiest and most tourist routes of Verona and Lake Garda.

What better place, then, than the Parco delle Cascate in Molina to enjoy a walk among woods, meadows, steep walls, green trees and clear waters, without scenographic effects, but only in the middle of nature in all its simplicity.

So remember comfortable shoes, a backpack and a heavy shirt always at hand, as well as bringing you a great desire to walk and have fun!

Start by leaving the rolling hills of Valpolicella and climbing towards Lessinia, until you reach the small medieval village made of stone roofs and small courtyards of Molina, whose name derives from the many ancient mills that worked thanks to the water of the waterfalls.

After parking your car, head down a paved road downhill, lined with walls and slabs of local stone, towards the park entrance, for which an entrance ticket will be required.

There are 3 types of itineraries (identified with 3 colors according to the level of difficulty) to be covered within the park:

However, all routes are also suitable for families and children.

Once you enter the park, stop to listen in silence to the sounds of nature and the distant sounds of the waters of the Vaio delle Scalucce and the Vaio di Molina that precipitate suddenly, creating a dark and relentless shower.

If you decide to follow the complete route, you can enjoy all the attractions of the park: from the panoramic Scala delle Vertigini to the Marmitte dei Giganti, from the Belvedere on the Valpolicella and the woods (reachable after a steep climb) to the Paleolithic engravings on the stones.

During your journey you will feel in full contact with nature, among the shade of the trees, the luxuriant millennial ferns and the many large and smaller water jumps, up to the main attraction of the park: the swing, which brings almost to touch the icy waters of the waterfall!

A little waiting is certainly rewarded by such a special experience...

At the end of a day among waterfalls and green woods, in the company of the pleasant coolness on hot summer days, return to Valpolicella and refresh yourself with the many delicious local dishes, always accompanied by a glass of good wine!
